"Rating 89, Drink 2018-2028 The NV Brut 7 Crus is a blend of 90% Chardonnay with 10% Pinot Noir assembled from two vintages, here with 60% from 2015 and 40% from 2014. It is mostly fermented in stainless steel, and just one-half of the wine from 2014 was aged in barriques for six months. The wine opens with a very clear and delicate bouquet of ripe white fruits and flowers. On the palate, this is a round, intense, elegant, beautifully pure and refined blend with a long, aromatic yet precise, fresh and salty finish. This bottle was disgorged in February 2018. Tasted April 2018."

"Once again, there are fascinating champagnes to discover from Pascal Agrapart, the other godfather of the Côte des Blancs next to Anselme Selosse, who has just retired. Has there ever been a greater Minéral than the 2012? This wine is the most important one from Agrapart & Fils in terms of quantity. It's also more than affordable and one of the finest Blanc de Blancs you can get at this price (which should be no more than $100). I visited Agrapart in mid-April, and the wines were all just recently disgorged, which made it more difficult to taste them. Maybe the distance to Pascal's top cuvées—L'Avizoise and Vénus, both 2012 vintages—is farther than my scores might reflect, but the vibrant purity, sharp precision and expressive chalkiness of the tensioned Minéral, which blends the fruits of two vineyards in Avize and Cramant, is almost breathtaking. Take into account that you will make yourself a hero when you can offer your friends an Agrapart every time they jump in. They would also be quite happy with the non-vintaged Terroirs, which blends the fruit of four villages and is more filigreed but still complex. Rating 95, Drink 2019-2030 The 2012 Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Extra Brut Minéral is sourced from two chalky plots in Avize—Le Champ Bouton, which fermented in tank, and Les Bionnes, which fermented in barrel. It offers an excitingly pure, precise and fresh iodine-scented bouquet with elegant, concentrated fruit intermixed with chalky notes. On the palate, this is a great Blanc de Blancs that is clear, pure and balanced yet round, crisp and complex, with great finesse. It has a well-structured, very mineral and tensioned finish that also reveals intense, focused fruit and lingering salinity. Highly recommended. Disgorged with three grams of dosage in March 2018; tasted April 2018. A total of 15,000 bottles were produced, but only a portion of this has been disgorged so far."

"Rating 96, Drink 2018-2040 Offering a clear, deep, complex bouquet, the 2012 Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Brut Nature Vénus is sourced from the La Fosse aux Pourceaux plot that is located just behind the domaine and has been farmed by horse for more than 20 years. It fermented and aged in used demi-muids until April before the unfiltered wine underwent the second fermentation in bottle under natural corks. The 2012 offers a pretty Burgundian and vinous nose with ripe fruit aromas intermixed with almost flinty/reductive mineral expressions. Round, very pure and salty on the palate, this is another highly finessed and elegant cuvée from Pascal Agrapart. The wine is intense, complex and almost rich on the palate, where the finish is so incredibly pristine, fresh and delicate, very detailed and provided with an enormously long and salty finish. No dosage. A great wine. Disgorged in March 2018 as Brut Nature. Tasted soon after in April 2018."

"Rating 95, Drink 2018-2040 From more clayey plots in Avize (Les Roberts and Les Gros Yeux), the 2012 Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Extra Brut L'Avizoise fermented and aged entirely in barrels. It aged under natural cork for almost five years (at least this disgorgement from March 2018). The wine has a clear, deep, well-defined and quite fruity but also slightly flinty bouquet. Round, finessed and very elegant on the palate, this is a beautifully salty, focused, fresh and delicate Blanc de Blancs with a long, aromatic, precise and balanced finish. This is fabulous! Tasted very soon after the disgorgement in April 2018, so there is further potential."
